At the United Nations, diplomats have formed a habit of walking out on the speech of those they do not like. That habit seems to go against reason to me for I have always assumed that the most effective way to address my critics is to first listen to what they have to say, and then form a response. However, our leaders prefer to prejudge, block their eardrums, and walk away from what should be the center of diplomacy. Further, it appears that world leaders have the attention span of children, or at least are so stupid that they need Kindergarten illustrations to communicate with each other at the U.N.
