SIR GARFIELD SOBERS GETS FIRST ICC WT20 WI 2010 COMMEMORATIVE BAT

Cricketing icon and Barbadian National Hero, the Right Excellent Sir Garfield Sobers (right), receives the first ICC WT20 West Indies 2010 commemorative bat from ICC WT20 West Indies 2010 Tournament Director, Mr. Robert Bryan, at the Opening Ceremony of the CLOBI Cup at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Friday night.

Mr. Bryan said it was fitting that the greatest cricketer of all time be the first recipient of the signature bat which features the tournament logo and an image of a batsman on the blade and the tournament tagline “Captivating, Contagious Cricket” along with Sir Garfield’s name on the back. ICC WT20 West Indies 2010 takes place in the Caribbean from April 30 to May 16, 2010.
